When you know something cannot last (like an illegitimate relationship with someone else), when you choose this “temporary solution” over the correct one to take: you are just postponing the pain and the prolonging the destruction of what you have (your marriage). It took time for me to understand this. When someone else cannot be your spouse, you have to come back to the spouse that God has given you. God knows better. God did not make a mistake. God did not pick the wrong spouse.
